ESET Smart Security for Vista x64

I know some of you were looking for a good firewall for Vista x64 besides these:

1) Vista Firewall
2) Vista Firewall Controller
3) Zone Alarm
4) Outpost

The ESET suite is so lite, it packs NOD32 antivirus and an awesome incoming/outgoing firewall. Only runs two processes that total only 15 mb each. There's a 30 day trial to see if you like it.

I stopped reading at zero-day protection.

No one is going to use software that knightrider2000 recommends.

NOD32 is the best anti-virus software out there, actually.

I still wouldn't touch the firewall software with a 10 foot pole, though.

Wait, WTF? 30 megs of ram wasted away on useless processes and you like it? What the hell?
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Oh no, 1.4% of you RAM WASTED!

You might have ~2.1gb of ram, but very few do. 256mb is still very common, of which 30mb is ~9%.

But then gbk, it's better to have a HARDWARE FIREWALL (or router) which can do the same things as a software firewall (except if malware takes over your PC it can't turn the hardware firewall off) and it takes up 0% of your memory no matter how little you have!

Works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and any other OS you can think of (as long as it has a TCP stack somewhere).

It's obviously targeted towards higher end PCs. So what?

And yet it's the smallest AV program out there. So your reasoning is pointless.

If you have 256MB of RAM, there's not even any point in worrying about Anti Virus.

That's fine, I stand by what I said, but the idea that a lack of ram will somehow prevent a windows box from getting hosed is completely ridiculous.
