MassassiTech: help my daughter

So, her mom buys an old flash-based game for Win95 at a garage sale. I run it in Win95-compatibility mode (my OS is WinXP), and it works, but the audio for each "scene" gets cut off early.

While it's running, I jumped to Task Manager, and was going to change the Affinity to 1 CPU to see if that would fix the audio, but it was already set that way (I'm assuming from the Win95 compatibility mode).

Any other ideas I could try to get the audio to work correctly?

My daughter thanks you in advance. :)

You could try Dosbox. I don't know much about it, but I know a lot of people use it when playing Full Throttle.

I used Dosbox to play Rebel Assault and it worked fine.

If you have a copy of Windows 95 on a CD this is the way to go. You can get a free copy of VMWare directly from their site (it's called VMWare Server or sommat). The reason being, it will run much slower. You can adjust how much memory the machine has (say only 64MB of RAM), so the software likely will run as it was intended.

Is your daughter younger than me?

I have to ask before I contribute nothing to the conversation. 95 in the VMWare dealyo IIRC made Dark Forces work with sound on one machine. It took some fannagling though.

She's 5, for crying out loud. Yeah, I've got a copy of Win95 at work. I think I still have Win98 here. Would that work?

He would have been more of a Command-Chamberian back then so no sexual credit for Massassians.
