Oh snap.

As a monarchist*, I would like to take a moment to applaud HM Juan Carlos for putting Chavez in his place.

* (not really, but come on, who wouldn't want to have the first estate around if you were part of it?)

Your thoughts on Chavez and Latin leftism? Citgo giving oil to poor people in NY? The role of the monarchy in contemporary international relations (esp. in the Hispanic world)?

Juan Carlos was hand picked and groomed to be the dictatorial successor of Franco, and then he turned the country into a democracy once he got power. I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Chavez has problems.
