There's new software and firmware out today (Alongside the new models).

The new firmware seems fine. The giant text on the front is meh. Wireless sync works fine. Marketplace has a nice collection of podcasts available. A couple of odd and presumably related bugs in the software though, two or three artists are getting dumped in with another artist for no reason whatsoever, this is also changing album art. The tags on them haven't changed so... *Shrug*

And it appears "The Social" is functional.

holy crap this new software SUCKS!
I have no idea what Microsoft was thinking, we are not mac users, we don't need things to be flashy and "pretty". The Zune software team took what was an amazing media system and crushed it into little tiny pieces. And it doesn't even look good...I wish I could roll back this crap.

Yes, let's replace a fast, functional, bug-free program with a slow, buggy, incompatible POS.

No thanks. As for the artist "bug", apparently wiping and readding your library fixes it, although I have not experienced the bug.

I love the new software. It makes browsing the marketplace so much easier and faster. Plus, all the new features (podcasts, TV show sync, wifi sync, DRM-Free music) is awesome.
