This slide show shows the events that led to a dozen Orange County firefighters who had to deploy their shelters while battling one of the major fires of the Southern California fire storm last month.

The images were take from a road 50-100 yards away. The images are shown in chronological order. Also included in the slide show is the realtime radio traffic as the incident occurred.

All of the firefighters survived the incident.
