OK, there are a lot more smarter people here in these sort of things than I (or at least people who feign it better), so I'm curious what you all think of this:

All I can really get out of it is "oooo, perdy..."

I don't get it. I'm probably the least scientific person you could ever meet in your life though.

That weird "surfer dude" thought of this theory.

I don't buy it fully yet.

Here is his actual paper:

http://arxiv.org/abs/0711.0770

I've skimmed through it, and didn't get anything out of it. I think to try to understand it I'll need to sit down and try to follow along with his calculations, which I doubt I can do. The guy has a Ph.D.

the video on youtube is just pure fuzz without reading and understanding the paper...which I tried unsuccessfully.

Although I have dealt with a lot of the maths he talks about in the paper, I'd have to sit down for days, probably weeks to totally get a grasp of what he is talking about.

I'm a experimentalist and not a theorist and as such I've only just covered the maths he talks about to the point where I can do what I need. I don't particularly find it very interesting to spend days upon days thinking about this stuff.

Apparently it's over hyped. But to be fair, even Lisi admits it has a slim chance of being correct.
