expecting too much (skype recording)?

why is it so difficult to record skype call? third party software, desyncing, one blaming the other and back again, new codecs upon version updates... wtf?!?

one, why hasn't skype just added a record button? is it that difficult? i don't know. is it?
two, why isn't there a freeware program to do this? have i come to expect too much from the open source community and not given anything back?
three, isn't it obvious to a lot of people that this is a feature a lot of people want and/or would use if it were available?

the first person that comes back with, 'buy a mac and use garage band' will be murdered. i don't care where you are on this earth, i'll be there in ten minutes to cut your throat.

There should be an option in Windows to record what you hear. After you've set that you can use any recording software out there.
Sorry for the lousy German

Except that costs money.

Open up your volume controls, Options, Properties, Recording, Okay, check "What U Hear" or Wave/MP3 or whatever looks like that.

You might get feedback issues using that method.

Also, if you have a second machine, ask Zeqmacaw.

You shouldn't have any feedback.

Alot of Vista drivers won't have the "What U Hear" or "Sound Mix" options.

People just can't write the vista drivers. :/

God, me and Yecti had a ***** of a time finding a program that worked for RTFM, and then he had a hard time getting it to work.

Hopefully, time and schedules permitting, that'll be starting up again here soon.
