New Version of Jedi Academy

Hello,

Hopefully posting this in the right section of your forums!

I know that alot of people like myself were dissapointed with that ongoing ordeal with KOTF. I think it was one of the longest ongoing scams (4 yrs).

Well, I have some cool information about a new Multiplayer version of Jedi Academy called Forcemod III - Return of the Sith: Advanced Version 2. Unlike the promised KOTF this is real.

The original ForceMod III has been out for a few years but we have totally revamped it with new skins, models, weapons, and all sorts of things. Its very different that its original version. We spent hundreds of hours balancing the new weapons for instance.

I'm the co-developer and tester of this new game. If you want to see some additional info on the game go to www.PHRGEmpire.com

We will be releasing the movie-demo in about 2 weeks and will release the game just prior to X-mas.

If its ok I'll check back and keep you guys posted of any updates, release dates, etc.

Take Care,

Venomous

Aye. A new SP campaign would have been nice.

But I suppose without the SP source the ambitions of any capable modding crew would anyway be cut too short.

Cool! Forcemod II was really good. Ya'll should really consider moving to a new engine for the Forcemod IV, though.

Wow, I wasn't honestly expecting you to say release by Christmas. Usually posts like this are scams that say they're "not quite ready for release"

Looking forward to your movie and release next month!

I played Forcemod before (not sure what version though) and loved it. I'll be sure to watch out for this one too.

What's KOTF? How was it a scam?
2007-12-02, 12:37 PM #11
AFAIK it was some guy's JA vapourware mod that he tried to solicit donations for. Not only that, but it was mostly a compilation of other people's work anyways. And I think the guy was Turkish.

I wish I didn't know that.
