Fixes widescreen and adds an options to turn Vita Chambers on or off, among other things. I might give the game another shot, last time I only got about two hours in before getting a little bored.

Widescreen **** ups really, really think it was made by morons. I mean really they even said it would be fully supported.
Ah well, No Vita chambers you say? That might make it interesting. I always felt invincible in that game.

The new tonics and plasmids I heard were pretty useless.... but the new achievement for the 360 looks fairly rough. May give it a shot.
No sig.

Haven't gotten very far in my Hard playthrough, so I'll probably just wait until I can download the update, start over and pick up Seriously Good At This and Brass Balls at the same time. I was loading earlier saves every time I died anyway because I didn't like the way Vita-Chambers affected the game's pacing.

I'm 90% of the way through but I know I've used the Vita Chambers a couple of times. I was planning on redoing the game anyway, (and save the sisters this time) so I might as well try and finish it now quickly, then start again on hard with the patch.

You don't have the intelligence quotient to curse, so doing it only makes you seem like forrest gump got a case of tourrettes.

I still haven't played all the way through this game...need to get my computer at 100% then try it out.

Barely adds any replayability.

Oh well, neat to have one.

I keep meaning to try it. Despite never having played anything vaguely System Shock related.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Still not seeing what everyone thought was so wrong with widescreen. :/

This game can be pretty boring to play. Infact, they dumbed down the gameplay considerably to make it more accessable. This is a bad thing to me, because it's like playing a Jedi, only you shoot fire and ice instead of lightning.

While the gameplay is sorta poop, and the game doesn't really offer you more than one way to go about things, (Basically, the only choice you get is if you want to kill little sisters or not, oh and how you want to blow up splicers) the story is ****ING AMAZING. Like REALLY ****ING AMAZING

Don't read any spoilers, just play the game. Play it through. If only because the story and the dialogue is A-****ING-MAZING.

The FOV was borked. Instead of actually making it wider it just chopped off the top and bottom, giving less field-of-view.

Which is just kind of silly, y'know?

Unless you are like me: stuck in 4:3 land on his telly.

Then it makes me a HERO WHO CAN SEE MORE! (apparently you could change it on the PC version with an FOV console command, but I'm not sure - I'm in XBox land).

I don't care.

They used the whole screen, and didn't distort anything. :/

It looked fine to me.

The gameplay isn't awful, it's a pretty average shooter with some cool weapons and upgrades and such. However, you hit the crux of it. The story and the atmosphere are some of the best ever in any game, it's what makes it so special.

Yeah, until after the big twist. Then it's not so a-****ing-mazing anymore.

Are you kidding? The pieces of information and narrative you get in those tapes is priceless. I seriously felt like I was hunting artifacts the whole time. Sickeningly well done storyline. The "twist" wasn't hard to see coming, nor was it even close to the bread, butter, or even the milk of the meal. How it all plays out is where the real enjoyment is.
