Decorate my door-time again
2007-12-06, 6:35 AM #1
Last year or the year before, we had a contest at school to decorate our doors and the winner got a gift card to Wal-Mart. [linky to previous thread and pics]

Last time I went with the phrase, "May the Frost Be with you" and had a vader head on a snowman.

Anyhoo, it's that time again, and I'm fishing for ideas.

My wife's idea was Santa opening his jacket revealing a spiderman costume with the phrase "With great power comes great responsibility", but I'm not totally sold on the idea.

Massassi-creativity-team, you're my only hope!

Does there have to be a phrase?

How about gordon freeman on the door with a headcrab 'hanging' out of the window with a santa hat on and a christmas-y theme... you know, tree(s), lights (even if they are paper) ect ect.

I like the spidey-santa idea. Alternatively, though I don't know how artistic you are, you could do something with Santa dressed up like batman, perched atop something (maybe a metal pole ontop of the Earth (north pole)) with the phrase "I am Santa."

The ripping off/revealing stuff under the trenchcoat seems a little too pedo for the school. :psyduck:

The only reason I didn't go with the delorean is because my door will be judged by 9th graders that have no clue what "Back to the Future" is.

For that matter, most of them don't know what Half-life is, or Portal. Pr0n would definitely get the 9th grader's votes, but then I'd lose my job, so that's not an option.

Batman and Pirates were great ideas, though.

Nomad's idea. I know at my school you'd win, there's 300 quotes still be said now and again.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Yeah, Nomad's is sure to get some votes.
