Metal frames. Only dorks wear plastic glasses.

Go with the SI Big Square Wire Pewter/Grey.

My last pair were metal frames.. they got bent. Way more awesome than plastic though. Just not very boat friendly, too easy to get smashed.

If you're using them on duty I like the SI M's.
Don't forget to get the LEO discount.
Also recommend http://www.wileyx.com
They're cheaper and STILL get a discount but don't lose the quality.

Whichever ones help you harass innocent people the most.

If they have a pig nose attached, bonus points, if they smell like bacon ALREADY, I'll pay for 'em for you :)

Upon further reflection, the Flak Jacket glasses with XLJ lenses are a better tactical alternative. They sit better under helmets, patrol caps as well as earmuffs and because the lens rests on your cheekbones (well, I have exceptionally high and exotic cheekbones so it might not work for you :D) they don't flop around when running. I have never had them fog either.

But if you want to look like everyone else get Juliets. It's the cool thing for tactical professionals.

Aviators are always cooliche. Get the ones with the curling earpieces though and you will look even cooler.

I have worn other's flak jackets and I am getting some before we deploy. TBH I will probably only wear them when sleeping during the day and probably even my ESS goggles over that. But hopefully you are not getting IED blasts while cruising looking for thugs to harass.

Yet another edit, if your ESS goggles ever disappear, get the turbofans. Freaking awesome.

Uh, as a cop he obviously needs silver reflective aviators. The last thing some young punk should see before getting clubbed is his own terrified face. In double.

You will thank yourself when you are responding to an active shooter on a cold day and you can actually see the ****er to shoot him.
