Man, as much as I WISH that was possible... It just isn't. That car would run a 14 second quarter mile with a HIGHLY skilled driver. MAYBE a high 13 on a really good day. Please, do me a favor. Don't argue. I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I don't want you to look stupid if you say that to the wrong person some day.

Oh yeah... And...

1969 ZL1 Camaro.

430 Horsepower all aluminum big block v8. The car would run 11.8 seconds stock, but with drag slicks it would do mid 10's. Only 69 were built.

1969 Yenko Camaro

In 1969 Don Yenko wasn't happy with the stock Camaro. So at his dealership, Yenko Chevrolet, they began modifying the living hell out of them so as to meet his high standards. 430 hp 427 big block. High 11 second quarter mile.

That's just a few of them. I could go on and on. I love old cars. Those are just the most extravagant and rare of them.

Saleen.

(In case you don't know, it's a ford mustang that has been modified to the point where it isn't really a mustang anymore. A guy named saleen makes them.)

Muscle cars are nice, but nothing beats a good lowrider. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Eh, I saw it run the quarter in 10.77. Maybe it wasn't stock, though. I didn't get to look under the hood. I asked one of the track officials about it, and he said all the cars were supposed to be stock, but he may have been wrong.

Ya might wanna watch how you word that... Saleen does in fact make (or remake if you prefer) mustangs, but that's not all Saleen does...

Saleen does the same with the Ford Focus as it does with the Mustang...

Then there's the Saleen S7 (It was in Bruce Almighty if you don't know what it is, if you haven't seen Bruce Almighty, http://www.saleen.com/

In case you didn't know

The Saleen Mustang's name...
The Saleen S281
There's also a Saleen S281-R, which is a supercharged version of the S281
There's also a Saleen SR, also another of their mustang remakes.

The Focus... It's simply called the Saleen N2O Focus (Meaning it was built to withstand a good 'shot' of nitrous oxide)

And of course there's the Saleen S7... their own supercar, not a remake of anything ford.

http://www.saleen.com/ for more information and pictures.

Of course I do know the Focus isn't a muscle car, and the S7 is more of a super car than a muscle car, so in this instance just saying 'Saleen' kind of works, but I'm sure there's some people who think the focus could be considered a muscle car... depends on how you look at it really... but it most definitely is not....

Now, to make this post relevant...

My favorite muscle car would probably be the SVT Cobra Ford Mustang, but I'm not a big fan of muscle cars. I have no pictures off-hand, but I'm sure all of you know what a mustang looks like anyway.

It was probably at factory apperance drags. The car has to LOOK stock, but they run like mad. If you open the hood it has to look like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Same with interior, suspension, and tires. They have to run old bias-ply tires.. So it's really wicked that they can make those cars run so damned fast while they have to look bone stock. Nothing like a sleeper.
