I will say the words of: "Amazing". That looks great so dose the movie, i hope they have the black sabbath song in the game. Sabbath is the ****. I thought this said Iron Maiden at first ha ha. Still though, that all looks amazing. Graphics = ME SPLOOGE-ING. They Look Amazing

You have all fallen prey to film style editing. That trailer in contrast to the developer walkthrough tells a much different tale.

Not that I want it to suck. I have high hopes. I'm just really sad that videogames are going the route of every other consumer market: Flash over quality.

This is just the type of game that usually turns out really crappy. Sad, but true.

In all fairness, games have often been like that since the Atari days. The only differences now are 1) Gaming has become more trendy/cool (first through Sega and then through the Playstation) and 2) the graphics have reached a point that are on par with other industries.

I whole-heartedly agree with you though. The video game industry should stop trying to emulate movies and such and take a cue from some media studies and game design fundamentals. Stupid political-economic fundamentals getting in the way...

Oh come on Yoshi, look at the trailer. It shows little to nothing but action shots of context animations, and if you watch the developer walkthrough, this is going to be on par with The Hulk. The only reason anyone's excited is because they're using flashy tactics and editing.

I'm not saying it WILL be bad. I did write that, but I do have hopes that it wont be what it seems. It's just annoying that people are flipping out and hyping over what looks very suspiciously like crap.

Really? I thought it was fun for a while, but it ultimately boiled down to grabbing and tossing the same 5 models while collecting x amount of tokens.

No I'm not. The trailer looks like a movie trailer. The gameplay looks like the hulk. The hulk felt like hack and smash. This doesn't look promising. My opinion is just different. Honestly, what is your people's problem?

Crackdown is a smash and hack game where you pound on the same six or seven guys times three over and over again. Jump over buildings. And blow things up.

And it's A GREAT GAME.

No, and I haven't said this in a while so I think it's time to dust it off but...

Your opinion is...wait for it...wait longer...wait again...wrong.

What WE don't see is how you get "hack and slash" from taking a plane down, mid air, and flying around.

It looks like the superheroes' GTA has finally arrived.

But regardless, I'm done, kirby can be overwhelmingly condescending all he wants.

I am not the one who's being condescending. I never claimed my opinion was fact, or that my opinion is somehow superior. I think the game looks like a hack and smash with context sensitive gameplay akin to spiderman, the hulk, and every other superhero game. I might be wrong. I could be wrong. I HOPE I'm wrong. I really really like iron man.

How is any of that condescending, lording, or self important?

I can't hear you. I'm too high up on this horse. I'm like in the stratosphere. You'll have to get a similiar horse, and then I might listen to you. Actually, you'd pretty much have to be on the same horse. Oh, but this horse is a unique one of a kind horse, and there is only room for me.

Jesus guys, grow up, he wasn't being condescending until Yoshi decided to jump all over his *** for having an opinion.

I suggest you all watch the developer walkthrough. I didn't find it very fun at all either. It's not even interesting in a "beat it up" way. It looks like there's about 5 minutes of real fun action in 20 minutes of flying around. For an action-oriented game, that's not too good.
