TACC still broken
2003-12-27, 10:48 AM #1
Guess no one is home over there. Their PHP scripts are still broken from the upgrade. I wanted to read some of the walkthroughs (TNE, for example), but can't get to them.

I tried emailing ryan@commandchamber.net, but no reply, and no bounce. Is anyone maintaining that site?

Ryan doesn't get around to TACC very often nowadays. He's very busy with college and real life.
He'll probably fix TACC eventually, but it might be a while.

Archive.org backs up websites, and they have an entry for TACC. You can probably find your walkthroughs here http://web.archive.org/web/20030128213027/http://commandchamber.net/
If that doesn't work, you can go back to www.archive.org and search TACC for earlier entries.

In the meantime, are there any TACCers hanging around here right now? I'm Talon.

Let's hope the Command Chamber is fixed asap.

Dry Gear: thanks for the ref to archive.org. There is no walkthrough for "A Pirate's Tale" L4, but I did find one for "The New Empire" L1, which I also need.

Someone posted a request for help on the APT3&4 level page a long time ago, but no one ever replied. I'm stuck at the same place: getting out of the room where all the cargo boxes are rising.

I can't help you with APT, I still haven't played through it.
The guy who created it goes by the name of Zooikes, though, if you want to try tracking him down.

ZOOIkes (aka Vedder), the author of APT is often in #tacc (on the same server as #massassi), so try there for help.

As for TACC, I've no idea what's up with it, Tracer, Brian, any clue? Plus, with the fora down, Matt is shielded from the insults he so thoroughly deserves...

There was a mailto link for Vedder on the level page. I tried it, so we'll see. Re: #tacc: I've never tried IRC before, so maybe this will be a good enough time to try.

I'm glad to see this forum is lively. I just got back into good'ol JK & MOTS. It's good to see these games are still alive. Outcast runs OK on my P3-700/Radeon, but JK and MOTS have my favorites. I still have DF installed, but it doesn't play well on my setup for some reason.

Looks like TACC is fixed and Ryan has installed new forum software. Go check it out.

Yep, I realized that there was a problem today! Thanks to everybody who emailed me about the problems. Everything should be fixed and running smoothly now.

I'm actually hoping to get the site rolling again, but I'm going to need new reviewers.

Yes! I've waited this for a long time!

Now only some of Massassi's scripts could be fixed, I still can't reach the links...
