Because I know I am!

brother, 24, into computers, cooking occasionally (wanted to get him a knife but my mom apparently just got a pair of knives last month or some such) He kind of reminds me of some of you guys.

Ideas? Also: who are you guys scrambling around to get gifts for?

This, and/or World War Z. I got it for Emily, and she absolutely loved it, then I borrowed it and absolutely loved it.

How about a cookbook for his favorite food-type (ie. Chinese, Italian, etc)?

The only thing I have left to do is to get some pictures printed somewhere tomorrow.

Otherwise I third [or whatever] Fishstickz suggestion. I've never read it but it seems like a nice gift.

I think I have a DS under the tree, which is astonishing because I was about to buy one when I saw the perfect sized package under the tree. And hey, if it's not, I can still get one.

I'm giving people books. It's all just a matter of who gets what.

fishstickz's idea seems the best to me. I'd love to get that book.

I was going to get a couple of things for my mother like I usually do but this year I only got around to get her a game (Luigi's Mansion). She's been eying my SNES for a while, so maybe I'll wrap that up for her.

And why is your mom making you pay her debt? Did you contribute to the debt? (sorry for being nosey! Answers are not required!)

She didn't really make me pay the debt. I could have been a total dick and said like "get lost mom." But I can never say no to family in need. However, I did ferverently inform her that I will not be giving her such large sums of $$ in the future. I'll pitch in to make us survive but I cannot be paying her debts off like this.

Now let's see if I can get that $300 that my sister owes me.

my brother loaned 1500 to my mom I think, but she's actually paying him back - I think the debt is down to 1000 at this point

I don't think I would be able to borrow from my brother though. Not that he wouldn't help me out but I don't like being in debt to anyone but my mom, and I only owe her 20

I'm not panicking, but I do still need to buy a couple gifts. One's really easy, so I can spend all of Christmas Eve getting the other one if it comes to that.

Edit: Oh, wait, there was a third thing. Glad I saw this thread, it probably wouldn't have occurred to me.

I was only buying for my mum, dad and brother this year, and I did the latter two online (so much easier!). I had to go into town to buy my mum's present, though. God, I hate Christmas shopping. All I need to do now is buy one final card and I'm done.

ok halp plz

I need a gift for my grandparents. I'm heading to futureshop (basically best buy, where I have staff discount), wal-mart, and a shoppers drug mart. What can I get for old people who don't need anything? Thanks.

I saw someone reading that here at work the other day. Looks awesome.

Anyway, I'm done with my christmas shopping exect my little sister (who was with me when I did all the other shopping). So I'm not sure what to get her. It'll be a family gift (being that I'm poor this year, I combined gifts (ie, rather than a present for my sister, a present for her husband, presents for her kids, I got a present for my sister's family).) Any suggestions?

Get them something edible. That way the most they'll be left with at the end is a nice little tin.

Give him the Gunslinger! And then next birthday or Christmas, The Drawing of the Three, and then the Waste Lands... and it won't cost you a penny! :ninja:
