Useful for getting flamed yeh?

Somewhere I have nomex;
gloves
skivvies top and bottom
socks
neck gaiter
balaclava
jock sock

Very efficient during flame wars.

No he isn't. You don't really know much about him so you shouldn't say anything.

HEYHEYHEY now.

I've been waiting like four months for them to get into another heated argument on a topic neither of them understand.

I was even going to give them both nerf bats and helmets this time. :(

Person of the Year has never been about the greatest philanthropist so after those wacky Stalins and Hitlers back in the day, this might just make some sense.

"the individual or group of individuals who have had the biggest effect on the year's news"

this is why person of the year is not about "he/she/it/they did good things" and why hitler and stalin were on it as well as a few others

it's been argued that 2001 person of the year should have been bin laden

isn't it well known that putin is ex-kgb trying to return russia to it's former glory by taxing the countries largest privaetly own oil company into forfeiture so that he can control it and keep the cash? and that, as little as we all know about iraq, kosovo, rwanada et al that checnya (sp?) is just a former state trying to become independant and the world (the rest of the g8 anyway) compromised with russia, we'll call checnyians terrorists if we can have some oil?
the secrets out on putin already. it's well known that although he may have 'turned russia around', he's still not a very good person with his own personal agenda as a leader. :/
2007-12-28, 12:26 PM #29
It's not "good" person of the year, it's just the most news-worthy and influential person, specific to that year. (Hitler was Person of the Year)

Didn't we all get it last year? Let's be honest, some of you are at least as bad as Hitler, possibly even as bad as George Bush.

Well, at least Putin restored the old national anthem.

I'd vote for him forever just because of that. Hoo-hah!

So... does this exclude americans? because if its based off the most newsworthy people on the planet, bush seems to get LOTS of news... granted most of it is pun intended jokes of idiotism via Colbert or Stewert... but you know, THEY ARE NEWS TOO!!!

Of course it doesn't exclude Americans. But George Bush hasn't done anything particularly noteworthy that justifies being chosen for a second time.
