I got a canon Rebel XTI SLR digital camera for christmas.
Very fun *ahem* toy.

Anyway, I got bored taking pictures at home and I saw this on the road today...I thought it was VERY interesting. yes, they were california plates, but older (blue) ones.

Yeah but most have double white lines, since the traffic is going the same way, not the opposite direction like yellow lines imply.

Off-camera where the two yellow lines are curving is the merging part of hte carpool lane. The yellow part is where you're not supposed to merge :P.
(edit: Oh, and certain vehicles, like hybrids(I think?) and motorcycles, are allowed in the carpool lane without 2 people)
