Post your logic puzzles! Once you solve a puzzle or whatever, anyone can post a new puzzle, but don't post new ones until the one in question at the time has been solved.
Start off easy with a 'famous' one:
4 guys stand in a line, all facing the same direction. They're about to be shot by a firing squad; however, the leader of the squad is a weird freak and gives them a chance to go free:
each of them are wearing either a black or white hat. There are 2 black and 2 white hats, and they have been told this. The line is arranged as followed:
(P stands for person)
facing =========>
------------------
P1 P2 P3 | P4
There's a brick wall between persons 3 and 4. This means that person 1 can see p2 and 3, p2 can see 3, 3 can see the wall, 4 can't see ****.
The commander asks each of the people, starting from 1 and going down the line, what color hat they are wearing (they can't see their own hats). The person being asked may only answer "I am wearing a black/white hat". If he doesn't know the answer, he won't answer, and the commander will move to the next person in line.
From our "omnipresent" perspective, we can see that p1 and p3 are wearing black hats, and p2 and p4 are wearing white ones.
Which person can be 100% sure of what color hat he's wearing, and why?
