There was only one patch ever made for Jedi Knight and it only fixes joystick compatibility problems.

I think it was more than that. With one of my older machines it fixed a video problem I was having where the game would play for 10 minutes or so and then bomb out. But whatever.

A comment that could inspire a multi-page debate thread!

Not having ever been a major gamer, I'll say it was pretty good for it's time. It's time being the year of it's release and the year after release.

I think Marathon: Infinity had it beat where story is concerned though. Bungie always has damn good plots for their games.

I think he meant perfect as in bug-less.

I think you need to release a patch for your post.

It also added Voodoo 2 support. I'm told 1.0 ran it fine, so it was probably proper support for all GPUs and card vendors.

But seriously though, JK wasn't perfect from 1.0. It could really have used real patches.

My voodoo2s always worked perfectly without installing the patch. Their web site only reported that it fixed a joystick issue with a very specific joystick.

Well, I looked it up. Guess it corrected a bug with JK on Voodoo2, but I never ran into it. Anyway, here's the site with the info:

Did anyone else find with a voodoo 2 and the 3.0x(I think it was 3.02, they were about the last anyway) drivers, transparent water would no longer be transparent?

I went back to the 2.9x drivers after that.

I haven't ever need the JK update, since it works perfectly for me.

All the problems that I face are because of my comp, like when I'm playing some level, sometimes the game just suddenly stops playing (this keeps occuring way too much in 'Mechanics of the Force Part 1')...

Stupid comps...
