This show rocks.

Wow...I went into this extremely skeptical but after DA HOFF made his appearance I figured I'll give Season 1 a chance.

Well I had to stop by for this one first off...

The show sucked ***. It was the most boring show i watched in a long time. The new KITT doesn't have Turbo Boost, or Ski Mode, Ejection Seats, Oil, Slick etc, it just sucks. The voice is...ok, not as good as William Daniels who actually put a lot into the roll to make the car believable and took his job seriously.

Story was blah, new michael was blah, I missed L&O: SVU for this crap. Putting the two cars together I wish I had the older KITT, it didn't become "unbulletproof" when the computer shut down, it's a freaking step backwards.

How come every director has to rape and molest a classic. Why can't they make it better instead of f'ing it up. I'm done.

Knightrider is in no way a classic.

Not interested. The original sucked and the remake (by it's nature) promises to suck harder.

Some of it was cool.

Other parts were sorta lame.



There was a big focus on this KITT learning about humans, and asking irritating questions.

Reminded me of the recent Bionic Woman series.

I hope it dies.

Knight Boat. The crime SOLVING boat!

It was one episode. Seriously.

It was the first episode, it's supposed to give you a good idea of where the show is headed.

Which it did. However, to expect the first episode to show off every cool feature the car has is stupid.

I think he's just pissed that since KITT is a mustang now his replica trans-am is redundant.

Would have been pretty tough to use a Trans Am now since they don't make them anymore.

Do you guys remember that mid-90s TV series called Viper?

If the "raped childhood" sentiment were about something like Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky and Hutch, or Charlies' Angels I would get the sentiment. Those are some examples of franchises that were made fun of with their contemporary remakes. Knight Rider has been updated and modernized. The update isn't making fun of the original. And, seriously, if you want your childhood memories of Knight Rider to be raped simply watch the original to see how bad it really was. And this is coming from a huge childhood fan of the original. Sure, I would have preferred a Pontiac muscle car in the title role but that is not practical now. The Mustang filled the role nicely.

Having said that, the pilot was mediocre. I like cars so I can picture myself watching it but I don't expect much.

Oh, and...

I remember Viper.

I like Bionic Woman.

Val Kilmer only had a couple weeks to redo the KITT dialogue so quite whining it sounded unispired. And I found the link above humorous in that it felt the need to list movies Val Kilmer has been in.


PS - George Lucas is the only director powerful enough to rape childhoods.

How do you know it doesn't have those things? Last I checked KITT never produced all of those abilities in one episode.

He's just mad because he couldn't masturbate as hard to the new guy as he could the hoff.
