Their performance only showed me that Green Bay will beat them. Seattle's home field advantage (Yay to the 12th man) is huge...one of the highest percentages in the league.

Take that away, they're not that great.

A relatively easy schedule, and they still only finish 10-6. Some losses that a playoff team just should be able to win, plus some relatively close games against teams that it should not have been close.

Besides the 4th quarter screw-ups of the Redskins, they were down 14-13 after dominating the game 3 quarters. They should be especially concerned if Matt's hand/wrist is still bothering him. One bad tackle next week, and he'll be sitting injured on the bench
2008-01-05, 11:35 PM #7
perhaps.. perhaps..

I agree the green bay game will be tough for them.

But you must admit they do have a tendency to win games they shouldn't win, because when the rubber hits the road, they produce.

Like this game against Washington, their defense shut off in the early 4th quarter. But then they realized it, and they did what they had to do to get it back.

So, honestly, I'd love to see them beat Green Bay.. But I know it's gonna be a tough game for them. Still I BELIEVE.

Sorry, that game was dwarfed by the freakin' amazing Pittsburgh vs. Jacksonville game. THAT was exciting...

I'm still gonna give the edge to the Packers (Packers bias aside, even). Washington, while their offensive lack of productivity is due to the Seahawk's good D, also played pretty ineptly, dropping passes, etc. The Seahawks line can put some incredible pressure on the QB, but the Packers offense of five-wide 4 yard slants pretty much makes that strategy useless cuz the ball will be leaving Favre's hands quickly.

Yep. Field Goal with 37 seconds left. Then forced a Rothlesberger fumble.

Yeah, that's good. I was hoping they'd win.

They were kicking *** in the first half.. Then Pittsburg started to make a come back.. Then I stopped paying attention.

The Steelers were up 29-28 with 3:30 left but gave the ball back to the Jags.

Yeah that was an AMAZING game to watch. I was hoping for Pittsburg to pull it off. I do not want Jacksonville lingering around the post-season. Those ****ers are tough. They could very well beat New England.

I'm still leary of the Chargers pulling it off tomorrow. Forecast still calls for rain and it's been raining all this weekend. The Q was covered up so that's good. We barely scrapped by Tennessee and now Tennessee has experience against us. They'll know what to expect. If the Titans can shut down our running game, they'll win. We're not that two dimensional team yet. We have fantastic receivers yet it's the QB that's our problem. That worries me. Sunday is going to be a physical game. If Rivers can NOT PANIC and stay cool in the pocket, we should beat the Titans.

The Titans are missing their starting TE and one of their starting receivers though. Their offense won't be on top of its game.

They will not beat New England.

With Denver currently pondering its first-round draft pick, the Jags are my new adopted team. At least for this weekend.

I want to see Jags Seahawks in superbowl.

Jags cause they're just so damn cool. Seahawks cause I'm in WA, and cause they got ripped last time they were there.

And it would be a kickass game.

perhaps.. perhaps.

But it would still be fun. And it wouldn't really devastate me if the hawks don't win the superbowl. Cause I don't really expect it, and I don't really care that much.

It is up to the Colts, Chargers, Green Bay, or Dallas (Giants ain't got a prayer) to beat New England.

I'm not sure how many teams I've been a fan of in the last 48 hours. It's a lot.

Go Packers.

I can't complain too much. I said at the first of the year if Dallas made it to the playoffs, I'd be happy. They've pretty much sucked the last 3 games, though.

My only consolation would be if the Packers beat the living crap out of the Giants and somehow find a miracle and squeak out a win against New England.

Emotionally meaningful, yes. You see, it's just too bad for the Packers and their poor fans that they chose a year to do well when they have no shot to win the Superbowl.

I find it most apt that Tony Romo cost Dallas a SB trip last year and this year he (more or less) does it again by throwing a pick.

You are being the most irrational fan I've ever seen. Are you THAT serious? If the Bears made it this far, you wouldn't be excited? We are poor fans? You are a poor fan for BEING CONTENT WITH A LOSING SEASON!!!!

I get to see the Packers next week.

I won't see the Bears until August.

That's the bottom line.

Edit: Yeah we stomped all over Indy in 2005 and it was gratifying but guess what. Indy went on. We went to 8 - 8 and to the Padres.

Oh I'm far less than content, but it doesnt change the fact that we kicked your *** twice.

Maybe your memory is hazy, but the Bears went farther than the packers are this season, I was really excited about it, but still caught plenty of **** around here from... erm... people like you.

Yea, we won it last year. Talk to me after you get that empty feeling after the Patriots destroy you, if you even make it there.

NFC Championship? Your NFC Championship is NFC Championship, not to mention very NFC Championship

Just because I didn't like the Bears in the NFC Championship last year, doesn't mean that you didn't have the right to be happy about it, just like Packers fans have every right to be happy about an NFC Championship this year. Just like how everyone was pissed off about going 4-12 last year, you SHOULD be pissed off that you also had a terrible season, but you aren't cuz you think 2 games against the packers means something.

The NFC Championship is an accomplishment whether or not you win or lose. 6-10 is not. You should be proud that the Bears made it to the NFC Championship, even though they lost.

OK. You kicked our *** once, let's be fair. The first game was far from an *** kicking. Secondly, and most importantly; I don't care, and neither does any sound of mind Packer fan. Your Bears can beat us twice every year until the NFL merges with the NBA to create a brand new sport; if we win the division and get to the NFC title game, I'll take it every damn time.

With the way the Bears are looking..well enough said. How about you take the way the season played out like, oh I don't know, a grown up? I really don't quite understand the point you're trying to make...like so the fact New England will most likely win another SB means that it was pointless for the fans of every other team to watch? So, a division championship and a trip to the NFC title game, well that's just no different than finishing out of the playoffs? The Packers aren't good? Get rid of the fan blinders, take a chill pill, and maybe try to enjoy what football we have left.
