and just to show their qaulity good i got a cd with a nice scratch on it and after many many many many many Skip Dr runs, it finally continues installing but then encounters another error, and upon further inspection i find another nasty scratch. So now i continue to sand this halo cd and just finish the installation. I'll keep updates if i can ever get it to work.

Yeah, you can just exchange the game for a new copy at Wal Mart with no problems. What's the deal with trying to fix it? You do realize that all that thing does is remove the protective plastic over the data layer so next time you drop it or something, you have less scratch protection than before?

It's not Walmart's fault...

Shut up. I'm GOING to do this whether you like it or not.

he might not be able yo exchange it anymore... i mean had he simply opened it and saw the scratch yeah he could exchange but if you go to the right walmart with the psycho nazis at the return desk they will actually CHECK THE DISC to find the scratches and if they saw the marks from the resurfacer they would be like "no exchange for you now go away"... though i've only encountered such a situation once where the person actually checked the item to see if what i was saying was true

No, I work at Wal-Mart. They take almost anything back. . .at any time. . .

I think everyone should have to take a test to determine their eligibility to have children. If they failed, they'd be fixed. We'd have fewer stupid people that way.

If it's anyone's fault, its the people who packaged the game. I forget if it was Microsoft or Gearbox, but one of them decided to go cheap and just ship it in slip cases instead of the standard jewel case. A very stupid idea if you ask me. I mean, it can't be THAT much more expensive to ship with jewel cases.

I dunno... $5 in gas compared to if you damage your now more vulnerable disc, you would have to spend another $40-50 if you needed the disc again. And you could have probably checked the new disc at Wal-Mart.

BURN THE DEMON RUM!

Wal-Mart sucks, dude. One of their truckers ran over and killed my cousin and all of her friends.

How this relates to you exactly I don't know, I'm just saying you should steal Halo over the internet like any good American.

I don't know what wal-mart costumer service desks you have been to, but the ones I have been at the employees were helpful and friendly even though they seemed very overworked. I had to return a VCR that started eating my tapes. They gave me my money and the woman working there tried to get the supervisor to approve replacing my video tape (but it wasn't damaged enough for them to go that far...had I pulled the tape out a little and wrinkles it horribly, they probably would have).

I would have taken the game back for sure. If it's a 20 minute drive I'd just wait until i needed to go there anyways, or try to convince someone else that there was something they needed and get a ride with them.

Even though that suggestion is highly appropriate, and may result in you recieving unwanted attention from admins, it made me laugh. I don't know why.
