Ugh... allergies have been killing me for the last week or so. Today I picked up some benadryl on my lunch and forgot to get non drowsy... so here i sit at my desk, barely awake... trying to work... I've never wanted to sleep more in my life.

Same thing happened to me, I fell asleep at my desk and they sent me home for the day. Benadryl puts me to sleep faster than ambien or painkillers do, it's pretty amazing.

It seems that 90% of the houses I house-sit at have a cat or dog I'm allergic to, Claritin works like a dream for me.

I took some benedryl once...and fell asleep while I was in the process of sitting down in a chair. One hell of a rude awakening.

Yea, I remember taking it once, and the person who suggested it had not warned me that there was a drowsy, and non-drowsy version. Obviously I just snatched the first bottle I saw at the store.

I got to work, took a nice spoonful..........z...zzzzzz.zzzzz.zzzzzz

I seem to be developing a lot of allergies lately as well. Seems to come and go for months at a time with me, though. Last really bad episode was when my brother's girlfriend's family invited us over for dinner. They have a huge dog that was largely interested in being right in your face at any given time. I went through so many tissues that night; it was unbearable. Luckily our new hamster isn't setting me off.

Although I've never actually felt sleepy after taking "drowsy" medication. I guess the stuff I've been given is never strong enough.

When I was in highschool my friend took nyquil insted of dayquil in the morning. He ended up falling asleep during a test. The teacher hated him so she didn't wake him until it was over.

In university nyquil is often used when you've had a lot of caffeine and need to get to sleep right away.

One time in High School I had nyquill and also fell asleep during a test. I did none of the problems and drooled all over it ( thats what nyquill dose to me, drool ). That teacher hated me for the rest of the year. I had to hand her a blank drooled on test.......

Ugh man it only got worse for me. I got a hardcore headache by the end of the day, went home, tried to sleep it off, woke up around 7pm with an even worse headache (so bad I nearly threw up) and eventually took some tylenol and blacked out in bed. Head still hurts... ugh...
