...from the other side of the fence. I am starting my first day as a substitute teacher tomorrow morning and I am extremely nervous. Tomorrow I'm subbing a class of first graders all day. They are either going to be really cool or they are going to eat me alive. I'm terrified.

Ask them if they've ever heard of Vietnam, then tell them the amazing things you can do with piano wire...

I also couldn't deal well with little kids. I think I'd be an awesome uncle, but never an effective authority figure. I'd come down to their level too much.

What a freaking nightmare that was. Holy crap. They WOULD not work quietly no matter what I did. I had to take away recess and have the principal come in and talk to them.
