Ash from large volcanic eruptions does, so why not?

peak. oil.

Will kick our asses simply because we're not prepared for it in any meaningful sense.

But on the positive side, we (North America) don't constitute 35% of the world's population.

I think peak oil is way overhyped. It's not like one day there won't be oil any longer. We will slowly adapt to life without easily-obtained oil as it slowly runs out. Maybe we'll drive electric and hydrogen cars. Maybe we'll wake up and realize we need to live close to our daily engagements. If you think our current system doles out our proximity to work efficiently, think again. It can be immeasurably improved.

I think that Teide is more of a threat to people than Yellowstone, I mean yellostone isn't even on the list of decade volcanos.

That and they reckon that the next time Teide erupts [within the next 50 years], the western face of the volcano is likely to slide into the atlantic. That could spell uh-oh for the East Coast of America.
nope.

Mount St. Helens' last eruption resulted in a release of 1.08 km^3 of ash which was scattered across 22,000 square miles. The stratospheric aerosols from the eruption increased the planetary albedo by 0.5% IIRC.
