I'm going to guess either a Nokia N95 or a Sony Ericsson k850i.

He lives in korea, iirc.

Don't worry, you won't get the phone for years if ever.

It's a really good image quality for a camera phone.

Those are also relatively small images.

Well, if there's noise in a picture you can see it even if the pic has been shrunk for forum posting convenience.

I AM GETTING PANOMAN NOW.

I have an N95 which will make jolly photos. Now I need to register a Paypal account though :(

Your phone doesn't have a panorama function?

It costs like 5 times as much as mine.

:P
nope.

thanks for the comments = ]

Baconfish is pretty dead on. I took these pictures with my N95 8gb. I absolutely love this phone. The latest firmware even lets me play youtube videos straight off the main site!

Dj yoshi, I'm actually living in Canada, but I'm from Hong Kong.

Rob, those images are small because I resized it to that size for viewing purposes and when I uploaded to flickr, it was resized from a resolution of 2592 x 1944 to 1024 x 768.

Warlockmish, its actually McMaster University

Martyn, about the coffee... I took a first pano shot, and i didn't line up my shots right, and there was some bad stitching. And then when i finally got to to do the second one, some girl dropped her coffee!

I've considered spending the assload of money required to get an N95.
2008-01-30, 10:23 PM #17
Rob, they do kick bottom. HARD.
2008-01-30, 10:55 PM #18
Yeah they do. But on the upside, if you're in need of a good camera, mp3 player, pda, GPS, and phone, it doesn't hurt so much =D

Paypal are ignoring me. I want Panoman. Boooo.
2008-01-31, 12:04 AM #20
yeah, i just signed up. But I ended up using my buddy's instead.

BTW martyn, have you updated the firmware on your phone? The page on demand makes the N95 craaaaazy fast and stable.

I have actually, just the other day - it feels so much quicker and happier - particularly the camera and the media menus. Awesomesauce.

Yeah, the great thing is that it will never run out of ram anymore!

You should keep your eyes peeled for a new one coming up that gives you flash lite 3. It pretty much supports 85% of the flash based websites out there! Including YouTube from the actual site!

Heres the link to the N95 8gb one.

Also, im not sure how indepth you played around with your phone. But rotateme and coreplayer (DIVX goodness!) are absoultely must haves!

2008-01-31, 12:33 AM #23
I couldn't be bothered to go through the rigmorole of signing rotateme, but I'll have a look at coreplayer if it's free (I don't watch too many videos on my phone so I doubt I'd pay for it)
2008-01-31, 1:31 PM #24
yeah. You have to pay for it. But mobile divx is for free, but it only plays back at 15 fps. I can sign rotate me for you if you want. Just pm of :)

Do they make a waterproof case for it?

I do need a GPS, but it needs to be waterproof so that I can mount it on motorcycle handlebars. and have it not get soaked and destroyed in the rain.
2008-01-31, 2:25 PM #26
I saw one made out of neoprene (sp?) that I nearly bought. That might well be waterproof.
