Yeah it's been a while, I was lurking for the longest time and couldn't decide whether I should say anything or not, but I did.

I've not changed much, doing a computer game design course at Uni. It's ok. My halls internet sucks though, it blocks random ports for the sake of it (so no IRC).

I might lurk about a bit for a few days and see if Massassi is still cool. Not that it ever wasn't. Asking for trouble saying that. But anyway.

Won't work, it's a client-side java app, not a proxy, it'll work just as well (or badly) as any desktop client would, including not being able to work around blocked ports. :eng101:

You can try connecting to port 7001 using SSL with an SSL-capable IRC client. That port might not be blocked (and it's encrypted too, so they won't be able to tell it's IRC).

Also apparently SynIRC servers listen on ports 6660-6669 for non-SSL connections too. Pick a port.

Nope because the crapplet works but mIRC doesn't like to connect to any of those ports you just mentioned.

The crapplet has some other method of connection if the original fails (I think). I don't mind.
