Radiohead

I'm ashamed to say this, but I am just now discovering how awesome Radiohead is. I'd of course known they existed, had heard Creep and more recently All I Need, but other than that I just never really checked them out.

So, yeah, I don't know. Post which Radiohead album is your favorite, I guess. I've only listened to them about once each, but so far I'd say it's either Amnesiac or OK Computer for me.

Ok Computer.

Not a really big fan other than that album.

meh. they're alright.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

My favourites are probably Hail to the Thief and now In Rainbows... great balance between their older guitar-based rock sound and the "newer" electronic sound.

The Bends.

I bet no one else agrees with me :P
The whole album is gold but my favourite two tracks are Sulk and Street Spirit (Fade Out)

if you like Radiohead check out the album "Diary" by the band "Sunny Day Real Estate". it's like early Radiohead if they had an amazing drummer.

Street Spirit (Fade Out) is indeed a great track--got it on a chillout mix I bought randomly one day. Good *** mix, and some amazing songs on it.

Kid A and The Bends are probably my favorites. Amnesiac and OK computer are pretty good too.

I saw Christopher O'Riely play his piano versions of radiohead a while back, it was pretty awesome. If you can, pick his CDs up, they're pretty good!

Radiohead songs are just made for college students to put in their ****ty films.
Think while it's still legal.

You know we have a Music forum.

It still baffles me that we lost the tech forum but still have a music forum. I guess you could call this my protest.

(truthfully I just forgot that we had a music forum)

I realise they are talented, universally praised by critics and most ordinary people but they just don't do it for me.

Radiohead has the privilage of being one of just three bands (so far) who actually make me consider walking out (of work, social situations etc) should they happen to be played.

The other two are Bloc Party and The Cure.

Interestingly, it's the vocals in these bands that make me want to scratch the sound-processing regions of my brain to pieces.

Because we have lots of handy stuff stickied in it etc.

Also Detty, The Cure?

You don't deserve the sound processing parts of your brain.
nope.

The Cure is incredibly musicaly diverse.

It's pretty much impossible that they wouldn't play something you like.

Unless all you listen to is ****ty power metal. They don't do much if any wanking.

Well to be perfectly honest, SOAD is too ****ty for college films.

I just hate the vocals, i have no objection to the rest of the band.

I just really dislike overly accented british vocals in music.

You mean the way everyone sings unless they're from the sound of England?
nope.

I really only know three of their songs, Paranoid Android, Karma Police, and Creep, but I like them a lot.

I always thought the only reason we had that forum was that Flexor wanted to be a moderator.

I kind of disagree, Baconfish. IMO the only useful sticky there is Seb's guitar thing.

Been there! (well almost, may case was actually more extreme!) It feels good doesn't it?

Hah, wow, guess I missed that thread. Funny coincidence.

Note the guy in my thread who said the same thing happened to him 2 years before that....

I actually vaguely remember that thread. It looks like Yoshi has changed his opinion slightly since then.

I'm not a huge radiohead fan, but I do appreciate their whole thing they got going. I dig a few of their songs
