I just got invited, anyone else in it?

(Keep in mind we aren't allowed to talk about anything in the beta. We can only say that there is one, and that we're a part of it)


I ask because I want to know if anyone has a mirror to the setup files? THeir servers are getting bonned hard, and I am not downloading X gigs of files at 20k/sec

Aaah, nice. I've been signed up for about a year myself, but I've gots no keys. I have great hopes for this game. Its a setting I adore and I'm so ****ing sick and tired of Blizzard's pathetic service team.

The PVP sounds alot cooler, especially because you can't walk through other players.

Get a big line of tanks to cut people off.

There is also apparently a 40k MMO in works, but I don't know anything about it.

Aye, that does sound pretty intriguing and useful for tactics.

I'm more interested in the medieval version than the 40k one. I'm simply a bigger fan of raw steel and wooden board than lasers and technology.

I wish I would have known so many other people were interested.

They gave me like 4 keys for me and friends at this event I went to they were at about a year ago. I forget where or what even, though.

Well if it makes you feel any better their download servers are ****ED. I can't even get the damn client at a decent speed.

They should have just had download servers AND torrents.

The last time Massassi recommended an MMO beta to me was when the WoW open beta came out...

...I've learned my lesson from that experience. I'm not even going to touch this game with a 10-foot pole lol.

Warcraft was originally planned to be a Warhammer title but near the completion of the title some type of drama or another cause Blizzard and Games Workshop to severe their agreements.

Blizzard wrote a new scenario, slapped new names onto the game and released what would eventually become a very successful franchise.

Arg I hate when **** like that happens. Similar happened to me when i was accepted into the Dungeons and Dragons Online beta.

Of course, I think I can claim my weekend was actually save, considering that game was god aweful.

WoW : Repetitive
LOTRO : Long-*** ****ing quest text, repetitive (4 kill boars quest per region)
DDO : lol...
Pirates of the Burning Sea : Hellacious learning curve, crap support
EVE Online : ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Others : not worth even mentioning

You should try COH/COV before the company that bought it turns it into crap.

There is only a small learning curve, you pound on crap constantly, and character customization is alot better.

It's going to start sucking soon, because PlayNC owns the development company now. They're basically going through and putting the things that the majority of the people want in the game. Too bad the majority is also majorly retarded.

They want added extra maths, so they can spend more time designing perfect macros. A PISTOLS melee class (does that make sense?). And more skimpy clothing for female characters.

Yeah, it's going to very quickly turn into suckville it looks like.


I really wish they'd just spend the extra time and re-write the whole game engine. That would be sweet, there are a ton of performance issues a game with those kind of graphics should not be having. They could also change the way powers work so you can better customize them. THAT would be cool.

BUT NO.

I think the real reason that MMOs are so lame isn't because the concept is off, it's because the people that play them ****ing suck.

I loved CoH/V but the constant solo grind was killing me. Its fun but none of my friends decided to continue playing so I dropped out of playing.

Uh...PlayNC is NCSoft, the guys who created CoH/CoV. What are you talking about?
