I know a bunch of you aren't exactly the small govt types, but the gesture is still fairly amusing:

McCain is super liberal, it's scary. I can't imagine why either party would vote for him.

He's only radically left on immigration, global warming, free speach, and maybe some other stuff that slips my mind. Other than that he's pretty much down the middle. Oh, and torture. Hard to support a guy that doesn't think torture is good.

With Mitt Romney pulling out of the race and with only Mike Hucklebee and Ron Paul as the only competition, it seems McCain has nothing to worry about. A shame because McCain's waffle factor is pretty terrible considering that the republican party is trying hard to regain their conservative platform, which isn't likely to happen with a moderate taking the nomination.

I'm glad Mccain got the nomination... it could have been a lot worse (Romney, Huckabee, Guliani)

Yeah, I'd rather see Obama in office than MCain, and you know me.

I think the difference between Huckabee and Mcain, is that Huckabee is a somewhat better version of Bush, and Mcain is an extremist version of Dick Cheny.

I second the what.

McCain, eh, I really wouldn't complain *too* much if he won the race. I'd prefer Obama of course. Huckabee, though, is probably the worst thing that could happen to this country.

I like McCain, but I agree that he probably could not beat Obama.
