The science museum here has a traveling exhibit with a bunch of props, models and costumes used in the movies, with a focus on real-world counterparts to the technology shown in the movies.

The opening was today and the 501st led the opening. There was also a showcase done by the 501st about costuming and how to get into it yourself, as well as a brief showcase of lightsaber replica types and how-to by a Rebel Legion member.

I got to talk to several 501st members, they had about 90 from across the country out today. I've got pics up on Photobucket.

Man, I wished I would have known about this.

I have armor I haven't put together yet, but tips never hurt.

How long is it going to be there?

That's so amazing. I daresay its cooler than a lot of the stuff at the Smithsonian.
