I've been thinking of getting a VGA box so I can hook up my ps2 to my monitor.

Has anyone tried this with their console(s) ? and if so, did it work well / is it worth it ?

Keep in mind that ps2 is 480i/480p, significantly lower resolution than your monitor. The picture is never going to look great.
