anyone have connectivity problems from the recent set of updates for vista? i don't see anything on google.

I wouldn't pay Microsoft anything for the problems I've had so far with this OS.

I'm going back to XP whenever I get my hands on a MCE disk...

A. Compatibility with XP in networks,

B. Just plain *****iness. Vista is annoying to use, I prefer the simplicity of XP.

agreed, if you bother to dig in a few places, you can turn annoyances like UAC off

yeah, the first time I turned on my vista box, I turned off every annoyance that got in my way.. it's really not bad people ***** all the time though

I mostly like the new explorer interface. It's dumbed down to **** but its also really quick etc. I swear that realtime search bar is a godsend.
