LAME.

I get $85 as well.

Tempting, but I have a 200 I haven't even got half full.

Eh, I've seen 500s for 100$.
2008-02-24, 5:22 PM #8
I guess this sort of thing is for people who have alot of movies and alot games on their HD. I have a 160 GB HD and I haven't filled 40 % of it yet, and I have a good number of games on it.

I wonder when I'll see economically-priced 500GB flash drives.

Yeah, which is significantly more expensive per gigabyte.

I have a 1TB NAS which I use to "stream" my music over my network when at home and then over the internet when at work. Saves carrying 30gb of mp3's around on me.

Also have two 250gb external drives, which I just use as a double backup of bits and pieces.

I don't think I'll be running out of space for a while...

lolwut

$85 / 400 = $0.21

$100 / 500 = $0.20
2008-02-24, 7:18 PM #12
$70 / 400 = $0.18 (I rounded up)

0.18 is not "significantly" either.

Significant is subjective. Should I instead say that it's "14.3% cheaper than buying a 500Gb HD for $100'"?

If you find a better deal, then post it...

Then your definition of significant is silly. My definition is like 50% or something, you know, significant.

If any business had that mindset they would be broke.

15% is fairly significant. It's not a giant chunk, but it's significant.

You're just arguing for the sake of arguing, so stop before you hurt your brain. I know you've already hurt mine (but stupid tends to do this).

15% is, by any non-idiot's definition, significant.
