Milk, because I'm pretty sure there have never existed mammals that spew forth cornflakes from their nipples.

I picked milk because mammals have existed long before breakfast cereals, but then realized that "cereal" is a type of grain that has no doubt been around millions of years longer than mammals (and therefore milk) have.

I believe that in context, cereal refers to the refined breakfast product.

The question becomes, of course, which arose first on this planet - the cereals, or the mammals? I voted cereals, but upon further reflection I realize that it is likely that the mammals arose first.
