A friend of mine, Rachael Barbash, recently had some equipment stolen from her.

Rachael is a rock photographer from Columbus, Ohio. Her photos have been used by artists such as; Drexel Theatres, THCComedy and artists Billy Corgan, the Dresden Dolls, Kill Hannah, Elefant, Jupiter Sunrise, Ego Likeness, Action Action, Shiny Toy Guns, In Winter and The Sun.

She shoots mostly with a Cannon DSLR, but her 35mm Cannon EOS film SLR was stolen, as well as one of her Cannon flash units, a Canon 580.

The flash alone was $500 new when she bought it. (They're about $400 now) She can't, at the moment, really afford to replace it. (She's a college student)

Not only does Rachael use this flash for band photography, it's also used for school projects as well as the ocassional paid job.

Unfortunately it'll be a while before I can (2 or 3 weeks) but I need some pics on my walls so I'll probably pick up a couple prints.

I was trying to convince her once to let me install Gallery, because we coudl tag photos and they'd be searchable that way.

You can get poster sized prints from her, as I recall.

I don't know, my knowledge of web dev is pretty pathetic. Even if she had captions for each image as text on the page, at least it could be searched with ctrl+f (currently the band names are part of the image).

dunno about that, not really into her music style but I've been to a lot of those venue's her photo's have been taken at. Actually some pretty good work.
