I don't want it to happen. The third movie wrapped everything up nicely in my opinion.

They had a hard time getting Damon back even for Supremacy. Even if he's showing an interest now, it would be foolish to tarnish the nice wrap-up the trilogy had.

I'm not really okay with this. It's such an awesome and complete trilogy right now. A new one, at this point, would seem like franchise milking. I like how done it is at this point.

I don't see how the story can move on from 3. Another love-interest? He has a child?

While I agree the 3 were wrapped up quite nicely, I would still be keen for another. The end of Ultimatum left me wanting more. Probably would have sat through another hour at least.

I'd love a fourth Bourne movie as long as they executed the director of the last two movies on-screen at the start.

1 was awesome, 2 sucked, 3 was alright.

There's more than three Bourne books, so it could be good.

different author wrote the last 2 books. They probably suck. I need to read the bourne series sometime.

They do suck plums. Eric Van Lustbader did The Bourne Legacy which made my brain bleed. I was blissfully unaware of any new ones after that until just now.

The books are awesome, and so very old skool. Also, I agree (partially) with Greenboy - Identity was great, Supremacy was ok, and Ultimatum was pretty good as far as I'm concerned.

Yes plz

It is pretty much my favorite movie series I think, and if it sucks then I can just pretend it didn't come out

Either way, I win!

But Jon`C, shaky cameras are the in-thing, like motion blur and lens flare and brown color schemes! If you're implying that you don't like them, then you're an American-hating evil-doer that hates freedom! Do you hate freedom, Jon`C? DO YOU?

The films follow the movies very loosely though right? If so then that's good news.

Films following movies?
Im confused.

I never had a problem with the shaky cams, the worst would be during a fight sequence when I couldn't tell who was doing what for a second or so

IMM it just makes you a more active viewer of the movie lol

They could call it 'The Bourne Accuracy," and base in on the books instead of what was made (not to say the movies weren't good)

The first film has vague basis in the book, the other two have none really apart from a very decent extraction of the character of Bourne.

So, if they choose to base a new film on the later book titles I'm happy, because they've ignored a set of great books, so they'd presumably just continue by ignoring the turgid plot of the crappy 4th book and make up their own decent one.

Well, if I was looking through the eyes of Michael J. Fox, sure.

That is like watching the movie on Legendary

Well, Ludlam wrote three books. They made them all into movies. Of course somebody thought they could make some money if they wrote more books. Now Hollywood wants more movies. Whatever. They probably all pale in comparison to the books.

edit - apparently the latter two movies share only the titles with the books. Lame.

They share some of the characters' names too!
2008-02-27, 11:45 PM #28
Yeah, Bourne, Marie, Conklin and Abbot.

But that's about your lot.

Oh, and Treadstone. The films miss out on the awesome Vietnam backstory which is a shame, and also all the links in books 1 and 3 with the Jackal.
2008-02-28, 12:42 AM #29
The Vietnam backstory though kind of requires Bourne to be a lot older than he looks in the movies
2008-02-28, 1:28 AM #30
I know, but it's still a shame
