Snow, I say! Snow!

Woke up this morning to a winter wonderland! Yeehaw! This is the most snow we've had in years. Whoda thunk that we'd get a major snowfall in MARCH.
The only traffic out and about are four-wheel drives, and they are few and far between.

Anyway, more pics to come after I've got some warm clothes on and I've got my measuring tape. These were taken either from the porch or through a window (hence the screen in the 3rd picture). The first is my neighbors cedar tree, and the third is my kid's picnic table.

We would have had about that much snow yesterday but the ground was wet and it all melted on contact. :(

Thunk is a past participle of think, as is thought.
nope.

Apparently baconfish is right. Kinda. :\

1. an abrupt, dull sound: the thunk of a shutting window.

v. Nonstandard. A past tense and a past participle of think.

All our snow is melting. Well, not today, because it's below freezing, but there hasn't been any new snow in a while. And it was definitely melting yesterday, the temperature got up to 280 (Kelvin, to avoid confusion between Celsius and Fehrenheit).

The dumb lady across the street (the one with the white Jeep in one of the pictures) tried to drive in it and got stuck. She had to walk a several blocks so someone could pick her up for work.

FastGamerr thinks he knows snow, but of course the USA gets 8 times as much snow annually than Finland does (Canada gets another 2.5 times more than that).

That's right, I just multiplied average snowfall by surface area. Whatcha gonna do about it?

We had hail last night. I felt kind of sorry for all the people standing in the queue to see Newton Faulkner at the Guild. But I got over that.

Snow has been melting here for the past week or so, but there's a winter storm warning for tonight and 4-7 inches are expected.
