Thunderbirds the Movie

Well, I saw it today, and have to say it was a right laugh and took me right back to my childhood - okay so everyone's a lot younger than they should be in it and it got a bit camp at times (as well as being a big advert for Ford in some places) but it all added to the charm, and thank God Almighty the Busted song about the Thunderbirds was relegated to the credits and the original tune more or less kept intact for the intro.

there's a major flaw with the way rottentomatoes works.

quite a lot of reviews that it reports as being negative often give movies some positive feedback, so for each review that might normally give 4/10 (and hence a negative review) get a 0/1, and likewise anything that might get 6/10 would get 1/1. this means that movies in which opinion isn't particularly divided will get highly polarised scores on the site.

same here, Avenger... The trailer was just too cheesy... too stupid. and it really won't serve to sate my nosalgia because i have none concerning the Thunderbirds... I really know nothing about them/it.

If you're reminiscing about your childhood then you all are A LOT older than you all claim to be. The Thunderbirds were a mid-late 1960s show. The first time I saw them was when then TechTV played them (with commentary).

Gee_4ce is a Brit, Thunderbirds is aired every few years on BBC2. I'm 20 and Thunderbirds is a good bit of nostalgia.

I saw the very first showing of the movie at the local theater. I've been really into the Thunderbirds ever since I saw the show on Tech TV. Personally I was mostly disappointed about the movie. Since when did Penny have such perfact ballance and aim? They centered way too much around Alan and not enough of the other boys (I still have trouble telling whos Scott and whos Virgil). I only found 3 Pros and 8 cons after I saw the movie (That doesn't include all the cons I had before seeing it). My personal rating is 3/5. Not for everyone, but it sounds like many still like it.

I just wanna say, "5...4...3...2...1...ThunderBIRDS are Go!" (I'm pretty much referring to my baby House Sparrows, Fireflash, Skythrust, and Helijet, when I say ThunderBIRDS).

woah.. What the heck? I'm only 14 and thunderbirds (And this other one with puppets, can't remember.. it was always black and white) played a huge part in my childhood O-o I remember envying my friend because he had the island and all the thunderbirds, whilst I only had 1, 3 and 4 (I think...)

I first saw it in '92 on BBC (can't remeber which one, as with me in Canada, its kind of hard to tell what channel is airing what). I remeber collecting most of the memorabelia (one of the few things i didn't get was one of the costumes [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]). I remeber seeing an entire class dressed in them for a school play on America's Funniest Home Videos [http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif]

Though such a flaw may exist...

Reviews aren't http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167456/ everything, and http://www.hollywood.com/movies/reviews/movie/2405346 you have to take http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/534/534439p1.html into account http://www.futuremovies.co.uk/review.asp?ID=214 that many http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/reviewarticle.php?varRevID=1022 people have http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/review_2138.html different http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=info&id=1808442962 opinions.

Personally I think Frakes (director, aka Commander Riker-Star Trek TNG) might have made a bit of a career mistake, but oh well.
