GROW UP. GROW UP ALL OF YOU.

Frankly, I'm ashamed of you. Not only are you being absolutely puerile and immature, but you're making light of a very serious matter. This man was a doctor, society had determined he was a man we could trust, but that was clearly not the case, as he assaulted a young woman, a young woman who will have to live down this awful experience, and only be able to vainly ask, "Why? Why me? What did I do wrong." I'm seriously sickened.

Why do you read the Montana news?!

Unless you don't actually read the Montana news and instead trawl the net looking for potty humor-related human-interest articles. :P

I didn't read the story before I posted. Frankly, I get enough of that when I'm actually getting paid for it. I read the headline because that was all that was required of me to understand what the thread was about. It's a terrible headline, and speaking as someone who also gets paid (albeit poorly) to write headlines, any copy editor with half a brain should have known better than to put "Butte" and "sex" together in a headline because it would provoke exactly the kind of reaction that we've seen in this thread. For that matter, exactly the kind of reaction that I posted immediately upon seeing it. Hell, it's not like the headline writer even has a specific space to fill like a copy editor for a print publication. He could easily have made the headline twice as long if he'd needed to, or just left out "Butte" altogether, and he'd have been fine.

Does this case deserve our ridicule? Of course not. All jokes aside, sexual assault is always a serious matter. Do the poor talentless hacks so devoid of even the most basic journalistic skills that they could only get editing jobs for an obscure Montana television station (for ****'s sake, editing the writers who work for a TV station?) deserve it? Well, that's up for debate simply because they might not know any better, but to be perfectly honest, I'm not above making fun of them.

I lived in Montana for a year, the people are crazy. But he's gonna be made a ***** out of someone in prison, even crooks hate pedophiles with a passion. Montana prisons are rough too, all the bad *** native americans will make him a little girl.

Yeah, maybe you didn't get the memo, but we aren't discussing what happened in the article. We're discussing the rather poor judgment of a news station's writers.

If that title was so ****ing funny that you had to post about it, go watch "Beavis and Butt-head Do America" -- there's an interesting little segment on the bus tour where they have road signs for towns they pass; Butte being one of them.

lawl, guess I still got my chops. when I was writing it, I was thinking "naw, ain't nobody is going to fall for this." But, yeah. I don't care about some little girl in some *** end of the country. I bet everyone in Montana could use a bit of sexual assault, break out of monotony a bit.

Frankly, I thought the headline was damn hilarious.

I remember learning about a highway called "sweet grass". I'm sure potheads snicker at it when they go on their road trips across the nation.
