So I just finished the show, and wow. If anyone hasn't seen this yet, they should. It starts off real slow (first few eps) but once it gets going, so do the laughs. Everything from GOB's music them "The Final Countdown" (by Europe) to Buster's injury!

"How many times do I have to tell you?! THERE'S ALWAYS MONEY IN THE BANANA STAND!!!!"

Anyone else fans?

Yes. I like to think as "Scrubs" and "Arrested Development" pretty much being the pinnacles of American comedy in the early 2000s. Not that comparable but both are absolutely great. Yet I kind of prefer A.D's more subtle humor to Scrubs' more traditional one (even though the first season of Scrubs is pretty on-par with A.D with subtleness...)

There are so many favorite A.D moments to pick from but man, the two episodes revolved around J. Walther Weatherman were just splendid. All from the fake sting operation to Michael getting "thrown" from the balcony and all the hypocritical lessons "AND THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T TEACH YOUR SON A LESSON". Oh man.

I sure hope the movie gets into full production soon enough. I wonder how Alia Shawkat has progressed since the demise of the show though, since George Michael's actor was pretty great in Juno.

Hah! On one of the funny or die videos with will ferral, one of the producers i think, from AD said the movie should be starting production soon.

on a side note... My brain seems to have a malfunction where I am unable to type 'will ferral' without focusing on it... I typed 'will smith' twice before i re-read my post and found it.... wtf?

I'm a big fan. Parts of the 3rd season got a tad ridiculous, but overall it was still gold. One of my favourite bits is when Tobias is talking about being the first person to be an analyst and therapist, then you see the unfortunate business card...

I've always wondered if A.D could have succeeded in maintaining the funny and innovation if it hadn't been cancelled... part of me believes in that but good things never last forever. Season 3 still ended up too short, bloody bastards at Fox.

Also, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman have at least "confirmed" that production on the film has started, still waiting for ultimate confirmation.
