It's amazing how anybody can be so idiotic. I suppose those people had never even tried to hold their breath.

Well he was 10 years old. Maybe when you were 10 you were lounging around with colleagues, sipping brandy and chatting about the stock market, but most 10 year olds are pretty dense. I'm actually surprised it's taken this long for a Naruto related accident to make the news.

I think the most important part of the article is this bit right here: As always, he added, parents should be reminded to talk to their children about the media they are exposed to. que ef tee.

Also,

His principal at Silver Firs Elementary School described the student as a "bright, imaginative boy with many friends."

I lol'd.

Schools are, ironically, often the worst judges of how smart someone is.

But. Seriously. When I was ten I knew that burying my head meant OMFG NOT BREATHING.
2008-03-13, 6:18 AM #11
Yeah. When I was ten I'm 100% sure I'd even tried the old trick of what happens when you try to breath the contents of a plastic bag multiple times.

But apparently some people need to die before they learn.

Maybe more like lounging around with colleagues, sipping Pommac and chatting about the prices of candies.

Great... as if anime wasn't censored enough as it is. After this incident, the censorship would probably increase two fold! I have to admit though that the english dub of Naruto has gotten away with somethings that normally would have been censored out in other anime shows that are shown during primetime when kids are watching. Perhaps they should just show Naruto during the late night like Adultswim so we don't get anymore stupid kids buring their hands in the sand.

^ Do you really have any room to infer how stupid another person is?

The answer is no. No you don't.

There are people at my college that wear Naruto headbands. I wish they had sandboxes.

Do kids do this in Japan? I really doubt it. Maybe it's because people can bleed and die in their version.

I heard about this when he was in critical condition, didn't know he died.

I second the natural selection comments, though, and think he should be nominated for a Darwin award. Come on, at 10 years old there is no way I would have suggested my friends bury me head first. If he was, like, 4 years old maybe I could understand, but this is just ridiculous.

There is a sandbox in the back yard, and Quantrille says his children told him Cody came up with the idea that they should bury him, head first, in the one-foot-deep sandbox.

But yeah, chances are it's just the other kids covering their asses by saying it was his idea.

This kid is a recent laughing stock of the Internet. You should have seen the 'shops that came out of 4chan the other day.:downswords: So, in other words, there are plenty of threads the parents could be reading.

I was never this retarded with I was ten, but then, I hardly ever watched TV. Even at six or seven I would have been smart enough not to do that.

In conclusion, kids watch to much TV and parents are lazy.

Yeah, they should spend all their time being smothered by their mother.

Maybe it was just the people at my school that were retarded.

When I was 12 a friend of mine was playing around with a deoderant can and lighter. Honest to God I watched him spray his shirt with deoderant and set it on fire. While he was wearing it.

Wow check you guys out. Picking on a ten year old who made a stupid decision probably just trying to impress his friends.

Sure I have had my whole body buried in sand. But the key was my head was sticking out of the sand.
