Evidently approx. 40% got this small multiple choice question wrong on my last Statics and Strength of Materials test. Interesting. Answer this question if you will:

Quote:
Why do people feel lighter on the moon than on the earth?

a) The earth is closer to the sun.
b) The mass of the moon is less than the earth.
c) The velocity of the moon is less than on the earth.
d) The gravitational constant G on the moon is less than on earth

A better question is, if the moon was on a treadmill...

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I object to this because the order is all messed up, and caused me to vote wrong!

Or to the fact that they were asking physics question in a test called "Statics and Strength of Materials test"

Which deals with physics and materials?

Edit: I think my previous comment was misleading. Nevermind.

G is a gravitational constant that's different on the moon? Didn't know constants could change...

Yeah I do it whenever I feel like. Things get fun when you **** around with Planck's constant. Gamma rays can't hurt you!

i voted a :awesome:

but really, it's just a stupid trap, and whoever the ******** of a Statics and Strengths of Materials instructor is, they should be beaten with golf clubs until they realize how absolutely pointless that was. Or have their tenure removed. Or both.
