That joke was almost as bad as TE's, I hope they ban you for it.

I pulled it off Family Guy.

And yeah, I should get banned for bringing discussion to our forums over the independence of Tibet.

That has to be one of those Shaolin kung fu monks. He wouldn't be so bloody otherwise.

Because half the protest is by Buddhist monks. They live a life of poverty and peace. They also do not fight back under any circumstance and practice Satyagraha.

China is just a terrible country. I like how we still have sanctions against Cuba but China is A-OK!
2008-03-18, 1:18 PM #11
China is a very important trade partner, immensely more important than Cuba.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Trade sanctions against China would pretty much devastate the world economy instantly.

You are absolutely right. We should give China our full support in suppressing this uprising.

That's not the point. Cuba is a wonderful country compared to China.

I don't think it's possible to have a 5th cousin.
2008-03-19, 9:40 PM #29
It is too possible to have a 5th cousin. I know, cause I have over 5 1st cousins, so one of them must be my 5th cousin.

Meh. China needs to sell to the rest of the world more than the rest of the world needs to buy from China. Sanctions would cause disruptions, sure, but it's not like Thailand, Indonesia, and probably a dozen other countries wouldn't jump at the chance to produce the cheap goods that people aren't buying from China anymore.

...as opposed to a brutal fascist tinpot dictatorship that's communist in name only and is so full of corrupt officials that you literally can't walk down the street without a pocket full of money for bribes?
