Just curious. I like some of their gameguides, but you can't have the downloadable version unless you're a paying member.

That's what I'm saying (I think). Their KOTOR game guide is really good, and it is available for free on their site. Unless you want to download the whole thing as a PDF. Then you have to cough up some bucks.

I don't have a paid account, but I really don't see the benefit of having one. GameFAQs (who are merged with Gamespot) have just the same quality guides as (and, a lot of the time, better than) Gamespot. The only thing I can imagine you're missing out on is some videos for games, but...I don't really think that justifies the expenditure. I could always be wrong, though.

most difficult games that require a video walkthrough can be found on youtube or any of the several videogame video variants. I would be amazed if they make a great deal of money on that. If they do, they're suckers.
