What should be done for breakfast?
2008-03-25, 6:22 PM #1
I'm really confused and my doctor told me so today during my physical.

"Sonny boy, you should eat you're breakfast. That can explain why you don't feel too good while running. Now take your pants off."

It seems like ever since Jack in the Box publicized their new ad "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," it makes me not want to eat breakfast even more.

Is this so called breakfast so important? I feel like I can function well during tests, even after ALL-nighters, except for running.

Any ideas?

I do tend to become more aware when I eat. It's true; I can function without, but there is a significant improvements in mental acuity when I do eat.

This one actually has a chance of becoming a valid conversation, so I'm leaving it open for now.

I can function normally if I skip breakfast. But if you feel weak or tired when running, try breakfast and see if you feel better after a run.

Breakfast kickstarts the metabolism, which is essential for activities such as running.

breakfast actually is important. Not to say I ever eat it - I hate eating when I first wake up, and I hate waking up extra early to do so. So I don't. But it is actually more important than lunch or dinner

IHOP ftw!

I normally don't eat breakfast, because typically I'm too lazy to get out of bed that early.

As Anovis said, breakfast is a pretty important meal as it kickstarts the metabolism. Eating a decent breakfast keeps me going through the day and helps me eat less junk and snacks, thereby keeping me within a good calorie range. If I don't get at least a piece of fruit in the morning, I'm a zombie all day.
