Should one wash ones' washcloths?

[Oops left out a word in the subject. Should have read "The third most important decision you'll ever make."]
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Yes, as many body soaps are not antibacterial. Further, since they remain wet for sometime after each shower, it's possible that mold or fungus can begin to grow. Even if your soap is antibacterial it's not antifungal. Of course you'd have to use the same cloth for a very long time to get any appreciable microbe buildup, I imagine, but it's so easy to throw them in the wash.

well.. i understand the antibacterial part.

as for fungus that's not a problem with me at least. I carefully fully rinse and hang my washcloth when i am finished. So it is not bunched up, and will not develop fungus (presumably).

for years one Friends line comes to mind after showering
every. freaking. time.

Chandler: "Soap is soap! It's self cleaning!"
Joey: "Next time you're in there think of the first thing you wash, and the last thing I wash."

It frightens me to think that people don't wash them.

Hee, I preferred the uncorrected title of this thread.

The third-most decision you'll ever make! I've already made two decisions today, now I must decide whether to wash to my washcloths! And this decision must come after every two other decisions I make. I make a lot of decisions, so my washcloths will be very clean. :-D

i guess the idea is you wait for the washcloth to dry and then you wash it specifically with the regular towels

Those poofy luffa things are better anyway. Better lather and you don't need to wash the plastic ones, at least not as often.

true.. but to get one, you have to scout the women's body wash aisle at walmart, wait for it to be empty, and swoop in and get one, then hide it amongst your other groceries. Even then you usually end up with a pink one.
