Gonna reformat and gotta ask some questions. For me to create partitions, what do I need? Can I do it from the Windows XP Install Disc or do I need like a Windows 98 boot-up floppy?

There's a way to partition from XP. I did when I installed my ned hard drive, but I don't remember how I did it. As long as you have free space, it can be done, though.

You can do it off the XP disc.

I used FDisk to partition my drive.. then when I installed XP it formatted my primary partition, then I formatted the other partition from within XP.

Use FDISK. Even though I've had too many bad experiences because of it, it's still the trusty way to do it.

If you plan on not reinstalling all your programs, you'll need all their registry settings also.

No, I am doing a complete reinstall, on everything, which is my I backed up game preferences and skins.

I'm probably gonna start formating and installing here in a little bit, so if you don't see me for a while, something went wrong! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]

Nothing can really go wrong, and if it does you can just start over. You have nothing to lose if you have everything you want backed up.
