Seriously. With T9 it's easier to type in proper English than txt-speak.

Text like 99% of the time, but even that happens once a month or so these days.

Absolutely.

Also as fattymbfattylol (i love you) says it depends on who I'm trying to get in touch with: my friend Dave is currently training to be in the Police, so his phone is usually in his bag - hence I text him and he replies when he gets to his phone.

The other reason I call less is because I never feel I HAVE to answer a call - the person on the other end doesn't know if I'm able to answer or not - I may be in the middle of a conversation or a job or anything really: at least if they leave a text you can reply at your leisure. Thus the same is true for me trying to contact someone else.

That was more rambling than I intended.

I guess I text more than I call, but only because if I need to contact someone it's usually over something quick and simple to respond to. Also, always text in proper english. I used to abbreviate when I ran out of characters out of what I thought was necessity, but then I learned that if you go over your character limit they just charge you an extra text and send the whole thing as one big uber message.

Not all phones/services do this. My phone makes a god awful beep noise at me when I've hit the character limit. If that happens I'll edit what I've written with either smaller words or I'll fix sentences to read shorter.

I don't think I've used a text message once in my life.

****ing phones are made for talking. And thats just what they'll do. One of these days with these phones I'm gonna talk all over you.

I text A LOT, but I have always tried to use real words, not lazy crap 'txt wrds' Besides, QWERTY on the phone makes it so easy you have no reason to NOT type right.
