Took me a little while to get used to this - it's definitely different than the old R6 games. Apparently the 'lean' command has been replaced with 'cover', which allows blind fire (...), but also aimed fire from a 3rd person view. Interesting.

Yeah.

Also, should have gotten Vegas 2. Basically the same as vegas with a few new stuff here and there.

Even its graphics look the same (very bad graphics, in my opinion).

The changes (mainly the removal of the planning stage and such) were what made me enjoy it more than previous R6 games. I hadn't played one since Rogue Spear.

Avoid Vegas 2 like the plague. The ACES system is the most half-assed leveling system I've seen, and they managed to make the game more arcadey.

The cover system isn't the best for 1, but at least it allows for blind fire, and really, the only improvement 2 made is a sprint function.

I miss the old days of pre-action planning and having ridiculously customized combat loads of the original and Rogue Spear though for sure.

I played Raven Shield a bit and it seemed good...maybe not as good as Rogue Spear, but not the garbage that Vegas is.

Ghost Recon is also awesome. :hist101:

If I remember correctly you could do pre mission planning on the n64 version of R6 1.. I had them both because I loved the older R6 games.

R6 Lockdown for Xbox was pretty good

we would get lan parties together back in the day with rogue spear and the expansions. we would all be on a team and do terrorist hunt with the difficulty set to hardest. good times :D

oh, and on the office building level, we would all be sneaking around to the side of the building, and then someone would be a jackass and shoot out the window and get us all killed.. over and over again... haha

I loved Raven Shield. I have determined that Vegas sucks. It's blatantly obvious that it has been dumbed down for consoles...I hit Q to lean left, and I tossed a grenade. WTF...come to find out, there is no lean command, making it practically impossible to properly clear corners. Grr.

Funny, from screenshots, the first Vegas looks nice graphic and detail-wise. Haven't played it though.

The graphics aren't bad, but I strongly prefer Raven Shield's control system. This feels more like a console game than a proper PC FPS.

From what I've gathered, Vegas stripped out a lot of basic controls, then Vegas 2 added them back in, touting them as new abilities.

I gotta agree with JM with the Advanced Warfighter 2 game.

All other Ghost Reconds, you character is slow as ****
